He married Jeanne Francoise Gillot 06 Jun 1811 in Clans,Haute Saone Fr. (Jeanne Francoise Gillot is #7.) Jeanne was born about 1784 in Clans,Haute Saone, France. Jeanne was the daughter of Jean-Claude Gillot and Marguerite Brulport. Jeanne died in Clermont Co.,Oh., at age unknown. When Jeanne was age 27 and Joseph Favret was age 27 they became the parents of Jean Francois Favret 20 Oct 1811 in Clans,Haute Saone Fr. When Jeanne was age 32 and Joseph Favret was age 32 they became the parents of Jeanne Baptiste Favret 1816 in France. When Jeanne was age 38 and Joseph Favret was age 38 they became the parents of Marie Joanna Favret 22 Jan 1823 in France. When Jeanne was age 40 and Joseph Favret was age 41 they became the parents of Nicholas Favret 28 Jun 1825 in France. When Jeanne was age 43 and Joseph Favret was age 44 they became the parents of Claude Favret 12 Jun 1828 in France.

When Joseph was age 32 and Jeanne Francoise Gillot was age 32 they became the parents of Jeanne Baptiste Favret 1816 in France. When Joseph was age 38 and Jeanne Francoise Gillot was age 38 they became the parents of Marie Joanna Favret 22 Jan 1823 in France. When Joseph was age 41 and Jeanne Francoise Gillot was age 40 they became the parents of Nicholas Favret 28 Jun 1825 in France. When Joseph was age 44 and Jeanne Francoise Gillot was age 43 they became the parents of Claude Favret 12 Jun 1828 in France. Joseph came to the USA wth his wf. and 4 children. They arr. at New York 3 July 1835 aboard the ship Tiger with Capt. Blanchard in Command. The first 3 names on the passenger list were the Favrets, John Brulport and family and Etienne Gillot,Jeanne Francois Gillot's younger brother,and family.Marie Favret later m. Phillip of the Brulport family.The original immigration documents are sealed as advised by Ohio Historical Archivist and in a fire proof file in our basement. Joseph brought his family to Ohio - why, how we do not know but we do know it had to be with great difficulty. Rosselot's were in the area before the Favret's and Brulport's arrived. Possibly some one from their area of France. The Favret's settled in or around Stonelick, a small community near Owensville. St Philomenia Church was and is there. St Louis Church at New Boston (Owensville) was organized by Rev Jos. Staley. The membership was 200 all of whom had belonged to St. Phil..We believe Joseph and Jeanne Francois are buried at the Cem. of St. Phil.. As of now I have not had any luck in trying to locate any of St. Phil.'s records. We've walked the Cem. but do not find any stones that ancient.

Joseph was 5-feet 4-inches tall; had Bl.redish hair; had gray eyes.
