14. Personal knowledge; and Mary Zahn Jewell, her dau. As described by her dau Mary
Jewell,"~Aunt Fanny"~ was an artistic person enjoying hobbies of painting and portry.Flowers were very much enjoyed by her. She was an
excellent cook, very active in the Episcopal Church. As a mother she instilled good manners, morals and Godliness in her 6 children.I as her
niece, know all of the above to be true.Once when I was about to be separated from my mother at the age of 7,to live with my paternal
grandparents,I was very sad at the prospect of the parting.Aunt Fanny took me off to a quiet spot and with her arms around me had me recite
with her the 23rd Psalm. She always smelled of violets and to this day the violey brings back my Aunt Fanny and her comforting arms.
